Harvard Hockey Camp – Jaxson Bartsch
Attending the hockey camp at Harvard University was an unforgettable experience and a true honour. From the moment I stepped on campus, I was immersed in the incredible world of NCAA Division 1 hockey. The level of competition was intense, the organization was top-tier, and the facilities were everything you’d expect from one of the world’s most prestigious institutions.
I kicked things off on Sunday, July 20, with a high-tempo practice followed by a fast-paced, competitive game that set the tone for the week. Following the practice, I had the privilege of attending a presentation by Coach Jerry Levine from Northeastern University, who offered invaluable insight into the life of a college student-athlete—highlighting the dedication, balance, and drive it takes to succeed both on the ice and in the classroom.
Monday included another intense practice session and a challenging game that pushed me to elevate my play. On Tuesday, I wrapped up camp with two back-to-back games, which allowed me to showcase my skills, compete against some of the top prospects, and absorb the true spirit of college hockey.
Being part of this experience reaffirmed my dream of playing NCAA Division 1 hockey. Representing Harvard as a student-athlete would be the ultimate honour, and I left camp more motivated than ever to pursue that goal.
